Our Bed and Breakfast features three elegantly appointed bedrooms with private baths, televisions, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a restful atmosphere. Each room is tastefully furnished, inviting, and relaxing. Cozy, comfortable, and elegant are the terms used by most of our guests. Each room features antique furnishings, original wide plank hemlock and cucumber wood flooring, and the original farmhouse doors and doorknobs.

Sherman's Inn on Main is located in historic Sherman NY. Built in 1840 and completely remodeled in 2013. We are centrally located on the Chautauqua County Southern Tier which offers all season venues and recreation. We are only 15 minutes from the world famous Chautauqua Institution, Peek n Peak Golf and Ski Resort, Chautauqua Wine Country, three beautiful lakes and have direct access to 150 miles of Snowmobile Trails.

Sherman offers a small hometown quaintness. Our parks are on Park Street, our churches on Church Street, and the main activity is on Main Street. Come for a visit and take a relaxing step back in time.

Each morning enjoy a mouthwatering gourmet three-course breakfast. Garden fresh vegetables picked daily out of the backyard garden are used to prepare several of our delicious recipes.

Our Roots

The Inn on Main Bed and Breakfast is one of the earliest historic residences in the Sherman area. It was built in 1840 by Elijah Miller, the head of one of the first 12 families to settle in Sherman. Originally a country home and part of a farm that covered most of what is now the village center of Sherman, the farm home was owned by three generations of Millers before beings sold in 1992 to become The Miller House Bed and Breakfast. The Inn underwent extensive renovations in 2012 and opened under new management in May of 2013 as Sherman's Inn on Main.
